Colorado Archaeologist, Remote Records Review

Part-time · Fully remote · October 2026 through September 2027 · Contingent on contract award

Terrain360 LLC (Richmond, VA) is seeking a Colorado-qualified archaeologist for a part-time, fully remote records review role supporting a cultural resources data project.

The work: reviewing Colorado site forms, survey reports, and database records, and verifying and populating attributes (site typing, NRHP eligibility fields, resource identifiers) in a purpose-built review interface. All desk work. No fieldwork, no travel, no report writing.

Requirements

Listed on, or eligible to be listed on, a BLM Permit for Archaeological Investigations in Colorado (Field Director/Crew Chief tier or above per the 2026 BLM CO Guidelines)
At least one year of professional experience working in Colorado
Working familiarity with OAHP site forms and Colorado records

Terms

Independent consultant (1099), $75 to $90 per hour depending on experience. Roughly 350 to 450 hours spread across the year, with additional hours possible if an optional task is exercised. Schedule is flexible; this fits well alongside other work or as a winter-season engagement.
