Middle Branch Patapsco River is a bay located just 2.2 miles from Brooklyn Park, in Baltimore (city) County, in the state of Maryland, United States, near Baltimore, MD. The primary coordinates for Middle Branch Patapsco River places it within the MD 21230 ZIP Code delivery area. Middle Branch Patapsco River is located nearby to Cherry Hill, Westport and Ferry Bar. Middle Branch Patapsco River is also close to Hanover Street Bridge, Smith Cove, Swann Park. Each year, hundreds of tons of rubbish are washed into the Patapsco watershed from stormwater runoff, or dumped into the watershed, creating a nuisance and an eyesore, and endangering birds, fish and other wildlife that ingest or become entangled in the mess. Part urban, part rural, part industrial, it is a mud-smelling zone of beached garbage and besieged wildlife, a place where the squawk of the heron competes daily with the wail of the freight train.
