Sharptown to Nanticoke

Cherry Beach Park sits along the upper Nanticoke River in Sharptown, near Salisbury, on land given to the town by A.W. and Ida Robinson for public recreation. It offers a boat ramp, fishing pier, pavilion, and beach. A 2009 Master Plan update added expanded parking, a Gametime Playground, revitalized shoreline, and a walking path to Cope Bennett Park, funded by Maryland Program Open Space and the Maryland Waterway Improvement Fund.

Cedar Hill Marina, in Wicomico County, Maryland, on the Nanticoke River, offers free parking, two boat ramps, and 140 boat slips including transient slips. Amenities include showers, pump-out, a picnic pavilion, playground, nature trails, basketball and tennis courts, and a softball field. Nearby Roaring Point has a beach for sunning, fishing, and crabbing.
