Put in place to prevent the Ghost Fleet from traveling downstream, these pilings also serve as a resting place for a number of the airborne residents in Mallows Bay. Osprey and cormorants are some of the most frequent visitors to the pilings, often to examine the day’s catch. You might also catch a double-crested cormorant drying its wings in the sun here. A great photo opportunity!
