<p>Past the kayak launch and through the Burning Basin lies Marlow Creek. Like Liverpool Cove, it has freshwater marsh plants such as tuckahoe and pickerelweed in the low marsh, and wild rice and cattail in the high marsh. In late summer, the pink or white blooms of the swamp rose mallow may appear, a plant some believe gave Mallows Bay its name.</p>
