Sandbridge to NC Border

This 123-acre beach park was once the home to a Coast Guard Station. Today, Little Island Park features a 2,775 ft. beach and a 400 ft. fishing pier. You may also launch your canoe or kayak into Back Bay. The Visitor Contact Center is accessed via Sandpiper Road from the&nbsp;</span><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandbridge_Beach_(Virginia_Beach),_Virginia" target="" rel="">Sandbridge</a><span>&nbsp;area of Virginia Beach, which is the southernmost area of development on the Atlantic Coast of Virginia.</span>

<span><b>False Cape State Park</b>&nbsp;is a&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_park" target="" rel="">state park</a>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Beach,_Virginia" target="" rel="">Virginia Beach, Virginia</a>. It lies on the&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Currituck_Banks" target="" rel="">Currituck Banks Peninsula</a>&nbsp;which is a mile-wide barrier spit between the Back Bay of the&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Currituck_Sound" target="" rel="">Currituck Sound</a>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_Ocean" target="" rel="">Atlantic Ocean</a>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia" target="" rel="">Virginia</a>'s&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outer_banks" target="" rel="">Outer Banks</a>. The park adjoins the state border with&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Carolina" target="" rel="">North Carolina</a>&nbsp;and lies shortly north of&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mackay_Island_National_Wildlife_Refuge" target="" rel="">Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge</a>.</span><div><br></div>
