Data licensing

License the Terrain360 corpus.

1,088,053 georeferenced 360° panoramas along 3,590 trails and river segments in 41 states, captured 2010 to 2026. Every scene carries its position, heading, elevation and capture time, and sits in sequence with the scenes before and after it. Text on this site is free to use with attribution. Imagery and per-scene data are licensed here, and machines can read the same terms at /rsl-license.xml.

What a licensed scene contains.

The panorama

One equirectangular JPEG per scene. Captures from 2025 onward are delivered at 11968 by 5984 pixels; earlier captures are rebuilt from the highest tile level of the published scene. Nadir and zenith are included.

The record

A JSON sidecar per scene: scene id, trail id and name, latitude, longitude, elevation, heading, capture timestamp, weather at capture where recorded, and the structured scene analysis where one has been run.

The sequence

Scenes are ordered along the corridor at roughly 10 to 30 metre spacing, so a licensed set is a set of continuous ground-level tracks, not a bag of unrelated images. A JSONL index ties every scene to its neighbours.

Delivery

A signed S3 manifest with a 30 day download window, or a bucket grant for large orders. Re-issued on request. Checksums for every file.
